In this specific role (Career Level IC3), you will play a key role in the design and development of the Fusion Data Intelligence Control Plane and Fleet Manager, which serve as the core infrastructure of our enterprise-scale analytics platform. These critical components are responsible for orchestrating data flows, provisioning resources, managing multi-tenant deployments, and ensuring the high availability and reliability of our services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software systems that power the Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) platform.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions across cross-functional teams, ensuring solutions align with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) standards and best practices.
• Build and operate containerized, cloud-native services supporting orchestration, provisioning, and service lifecycle management.
• Implement and advocate best practices in automation, observability, security, and fault tolerance for distributed systems.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, TPMs, and peer engineering teams to deliver high-impact features and infrastructure improvements.
• Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle-from design and development to testing, deployment, and production operations.
• Conduct design and code reviews to ensure technical excellence, maintainability, and adherence to quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering continuous learning and growth within the team.
• Support on-call operations to help troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability and availability.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5-7+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on building enterprise-scale, distributed, or cloud-native systems.
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, or C/C++.
• Solid understanding of system design, distributed systems concepts, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, including debugging, performance optimization, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to design, build, and operate secure, resilient cloud services leveraging native cloud capabilities (e.g., FAAS, Object Storage, Messaging, Identity, and Data Integration).
• Experience with major cloud platforms-Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) preferred AWS or similar platforms acceptable.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating on architecture decisions, mentoring peers, and promoting engineering best practices.
• High degree of ownership, accountability, and passion for delivering robust, high-quality software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and agile engineering environment.
