Preferred candidate profile Were looking for a passionate, hands-on Software Architect to join Jackson Hewitt as a key team leader and influencer. The architect will have technical leadership responsibilities for our flagship tax software as well as a few internal tools. This is a position where you will lead developers on a scrum team, develop integrations with web services, and partner with other architects to deliver and transform our platform. Role & responsibilities Build, deliver, and support distributed software to thousands of endpoints Build and scale REST web services in a DevOps culture Design, plan, and coach team members through the delivery of new features Review code and provide feedback to developers Identify and champion strategic improvements to our platforms and processes Use operational data to optimize production uptime and performance Drive team design and troubleshooting sessions Skills youll bring for success: 9+ years of relevant development experience Proven leadership track record as a technical architect or team lead in an agile environment Expertise in .Net and client-side applications (Vue.JS (preferred) / React / Angular) Expertise in delivering web experiences and scalable REST web services Experience with SQL Server History of successfully managing 3 to 5 direct reports Positive attitude and high energy Undaunted drive to learn and succeed Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
