Social Studies Teacher

As a TGT Social Science (SST) Teacher at our institution, your role will involve educating middle school students (Classes 6-8) in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that foster critical thinking and provide students with a social and historical perspective on the world around them. **Key Responsibilities:** - Plan and execute comprehensive lessons in Social Science subjects aligned with the curriculum. - Utilize various teaching strategies like discussions, interactive activities, and project-based learning to make Social Science engaging and relevant. - Encourage critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and analytical skill development among students. - Foster an understanding of historical events, geographical phenomena, civic responsibilities, and basic economic principles. - Assess student progress through tests, assignments, and class participation, providing constructive feedback. - Integrate technology and multimedia tools to enhance the learning experience. - Cultivate a positive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, respect, and a passion for learning. - Collaborate with fellow teachers to encourage interdisciplinary learning. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Social Science, History, Geography, or related field. - B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification. - Previous experience teaching Social Science subjects to middle school students (Classes 6-10). - Strong understanding of the CBSE/ICSE/State Board Social Science curriculum. - Excellent communication and classroom management skills. - Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to explore the world around them. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in experiential learning and integrating social issues into the classroom. - Proficiency in using digital tools to create interactive and engaging lessons. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple subjects.
