We are looking for a creative editor to take our raw catering event footage and transform it into 8-10 exceptionally high-quality, high-engagement short-form clips per week for social media (Instagram Reels, TikTok). The focus is on quality over pure quantity.

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities (Focus on High-Impact Clips)

The editor will be responsible for reviewing and selecting key moments from raw event footage (approx. 3 hours per event) & also talking heads to create the following final assets:

• Produce 8-10 polished, short-form videos (15–60 seconds) per event, ready for upload, optimized for platform-specific best practices.
• Focus areas include:
• Hero Food Shots: Dedicated clips showcasing the most visually stunning dishes/plating.
• Host Soundbites: Punchy edits condensing the host's commentary into engaging tips or quick facts.
• Atmosphere Reels: Quick-cut montages of the event vibe and live stations.
• Trending Editing Techniques:
• Implement dynamic, captioned text overlays (easy-to-read, visually appealing style).
• Sync visuals perfectly to trending background audio/music (knowledge of current social trends is essential).
• Ensure consistent branding and utilization of graphic elements.
• Visual Quality: Apply color grading to enhance the look of the food, ensuring maximum visual appeal and appetite.
• Revision Cycle: Effectively incorporate feedback/revisions to ensure client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications & Key Skills

• Social Media Native Editor: Up-to-date knowledge of viral video pacing, hooks, and short-form content trends.
• Proven Editing Style: A portfolio showcasing vlog-style, host-led social videos with fast cuts and effective use of on-screen text.
• Aesthetic Judgement: Demonstrated ability to edit food/culinary footage to maximize visual appeal.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in in software such as Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, with strong command of text and graphic layers.
