As a CPU Performance Engineer at AMD in Hyderabad, India, you will play a crucial role in analyzing performance and driving next-generation CPU core hardware and software optimizations for AMD's notebook and desktop processors. Your passion for CPU/SoC architecture, design, and verification will be key in optimizing future CPU cores and identifying areas for improvement in AMD products. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with CPU micro-architects and designers to optimize future CPU cores - Analyze competition and identify areas for improvement in AMD products - Characterize workloads, project performance, and debug performance problems - Run performance simulations and evaluate CPU architectural features - Enhance application tracing techniques and develop tools for data collection and analysis - Collaborate with various teams to identify, resolve, and document architectural performance issues Preferred Experience: - 3-15 years of industry/academic experience - Strong background in computing software, computer architecture, and system simulation - Experience in analyzing system bottlenecks and optimizing computing systems for performance - Proficiency in mathematical and statistical modeling, x86 instruction set processors, and C/C++ programming Academic Credentials: - Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with an emphasis on computer architecture preferred In addition to the above, you will benefit from AMD's comprehensive benefits package, as described in the AMD benefits overview.,
