SOC Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior SOC Engineer at Yubi, you will hold a senior position equivalent to a Level 3 SOC analyst. Your main responsibility will be to manage the Cyber Defence Centre (SOC) in a 24/7 environment. You are expected to handle security incidents, provide rapid response, and have a deep understanding of IT & Network Infrastructure tools and technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a critical member in the cyber security function to ensure the security and privacy of enterprise and client data. - Provide 24x7 monitoring for the organization by being the first line of defence against potentially malicious events. - Support the Security Operations Centre in enhancing SOC tools, including designing/improving working practices and incident responses. - Conduct Threat Hunting by analyzing security system logs, security tools, and available data sources to identify attacks against the enterprise, report irregularities, and make suggestions for system tuning. - Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and develop threat profiles. - Possess a sound understanding of SIEM, PAM, CASB, EDR, and other threat detection platforms, as well as Incident Response tools. - Develop and execute a crisis communication plan for CXO and other stakeholders. - Measure SOC performance metrics and effectively communicate the value of security operations to business leaders. Qualifications Required: - GCTI, GCDA certification. - Proficiency in Security Incident Response and Handling techniques. - Familiarity with log management and filtering solutions. - Knowledge of Windows Server based systems, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), VMware, PKI, networking principles, compliance standards like ISO27001, PCI-DSS & Cyber Essentials Plus, SIEM Tools, Nessus, and security operations. - Experience with Firewall, IDS/IPS configuration, email and web filtering services and configuration. Preferred Qualification: - Bachelor's Degree in computer science with a minimum of 7 years of related experience. - Previous experience working in or with a Security Operations Centre and managing security issues and incidents.
