Snowflake Developer

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer with working expertise in Power BI to design, develop, and maintain our enterprise data warehouse and reporting ecosystem. The role is primarily focused on Snowflake data architecture, ETL/ELT development, and performance optimization, with additional responsibilities in building and maintaining Power BI dashboards for business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Snowflake (70%)

• Design and implement data warehouse structures in Snowflake (schemas, tables, views, and materialized views).
• Develop and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and data pipelines for ETL/ELT workflows.
• Configure and manage Snowflake features warehouses, roles, tasks, streams, and resource monitors.
• Perform data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema) and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Implement data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources using tools like ADF, Python, or Snow pipe.
• Conduct query tuning and performance optimization in Snowflake.
• Support data governance, security, and access management in Snowflake.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data integration and analytics enablement.

Power BI (30%)

• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI based on Snowflake datasets.
• Create data models, DAX measures, and visualizations to support business KPIs.
• Integrate Power BI with Snowflake using Direct Query or Import mode.
• Manage report publishing, workspace organization, and row-level security (RLS).
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into visual analytics solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Snowflake Data Warehouse — design, development, and performance tuning.
• Excellent proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• Experience with Snowflake utilities (Tasks, Streams, Snow pipe, Resource Monitors).
• Hands-on experience in Power BI report and dashboard development.
• Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Python scripting, or dbt is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.
