Description
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake . Develop and optimize complex SQL queries , views, and stored procedures. Migrate data from legacy systems to Snowflake using ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, dbt, or Matillion . Implement data modeling techniques (Star, Snowflake schemas) and maintain data dictionary. Ensure performance tuning, data quality, and security across all Snowflake objects. Integrate Snowflake with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI , or Looker . Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Monitor and manage Snowflake environments using tools like SnowSight, Snowsql , or CloudWatch . Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices for data governance and security. Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell , or Airflow for data workflows. Required Skills: 6+ years of experience in data engineering / data warehousing . 3+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform . Strong expertise in SQL, performance tuning, data modeling, and query optimization . Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi , or dbt . Proficient in cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP (preferably AWS). Good understanding of DevOps/CI-CD principles for Snowflake deployments. Hands-on experience with scripting languages: Python, Bash, etc. Knowledge of RBAC, masking policies, row access policies in Snowflake.
