SNK Operator / CNC Machine Operator (SNK)

Job Summary:

The SNK Operator will be responsible for operating and setting up SNK CNC machines (such as HMC/VMC/Double Column Machining Centers) to produce precision components as per engineering drawings and quality standards. The role requires strong technical understanding of machining processes, tools, and machine programming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate

  SNK CNC machines

  (e.g., SNK HMC, VMC, or 5-axis machining centers).
• Load/unload workpieces and ensure correct job fixture setup as per process sheets.
  
• Read and interpret

  engineering drawings

  ,

  G-codes

  , and

  process instructions

  .
• Make necessary

  offset adjustments

  , tool changes, and parameter corrections during machining.
• Inspect components using

  measuring instruments

  (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, CMM, etc.).
• Ensure machine operation within defined

  tolerances and surface finish

  standards.
• Maintain

  machine cleanliness, coolant level

  , and daily maintenance records.
• Identify and report machine or quality issues to the supervisor.
  
• Work closely with the

  quality and maintenance teams

  for process improvement.
• Follow all

  safety and 5S standards

  during machine operation.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  CNC operations

  ,

  tooling

  , and

  cutting parameters

  .
• Experience with

  Fanuc / Mitsubishi / Siemens controls

  (depending on SNK model).
• Ability to read

  mechanical drawings and GD&T symbols

  .
• Good understanding of

  material machining (steel, cast iron, aluminum, etc.)

  .
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
  
• Attention to detail and quality orientation.
  
• Willingness to work in shifts.
  

Qualification:

• ITI / Diploma

  in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

• Extensive years

  of hands-on experience in CNC machining, preferably on

  SNK machines

  .

Preferred Industry:

• Heavy Engineering / Forging / Gear Manufacturing / Machine Tool Industry.
