Job Title: SNK Operator / CNC Machine Operator (SNK)

Department: Production / Machine Shop

Job Summary:

The SNK Operator will be responsible for operating and setting up SNK CNC machines (such as HMC/VMC/Double Column Machining Centers) to produce precision components as per engineering drawings and quality standards. The role requires strong technical understanding of machining processes, tools, and machine programming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate SNK CNC machines (e.g., SNK HMC, VMC, or 5-axis machining centers).
• Load/unload workpieces and ensure correct job fixture setup as per process sheets.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, G-codes, and process instructions.
• Make necessary offset adjustments, tool changes, and parameter corrections during machining.
• Inspect components using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, CMM, etc.).
• Ensure machine operation within defined tolerances and surface finish standards.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, coolant level, and daily maintenance records.
• Identify and report machine or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Work closely with the quality and maintenance teams for process improvement.
• Follow all safety and 5S standards during machine operation.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of CNC operations, tooling, and cutting parameters.
• Experience with Fanuc / Mitsubishi / Siemens controls (depending on SNK model).
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Good understanding of material machining (steel, cast iron, aluminum, etc.).
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Qualification:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

• 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining, preferably on SNK machines.

Preferred Industry:

• Heavy Engineering / Forging / Gear Manufacturing / Machine Tool Industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
