Role Overview:

SmartCOMM Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop solutions using

  SmartCOMM

  , including form development, attachment rules, data mapping, and multi-channel templates (Print and Responsive Web).
• Create and manage SmartCOMM artifacts: Static Layouts, Responsive Layouts, Batch Configurations, Template Selectors, Output Configs, and SmartCOMM APIs.
• Develop advanced templates using

  Data Modeler, Advanced Template Designer, Web Editor

  .
• Collaborate with architects and leads to define technical direction and build scalable, maintainable communication solutions.
• Integrate SmartCOMM with policy admin platforms like

  Guidewire

  (preferred).
• Work with

  RESTful APIs

  ,

  microservices

  , and

  domain-driven design

  .
• Develop backend services using

  Java/Spring Boot

  ; familiarity with

  Python or NodeJS

  is a plus.
• Deploy applications on

  AWS

  using containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Apply DevOps practices: CI/CD, test automation, monitoring, and release management.
• Use relational and NoSQL databases for secure and reliable data storage.
• Participate in

  Agile/Scrum

  ceremonies, pair programming, and technical reviews.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience in

  SmartCOMM modules

  : Data Modeler, Advanced Template Designer, Web Editor, APIs.
• In-depth knowledge of SmartCOMM

  configuration, deployment models

  , and API integration.
• Proficiency in

  Java/J2EE

  ,

  Spring Boot

  ,

  REST Web Services

  , and microservice development.
• Exposure to

  cloud environments (AWS preferred)

  and DevOps pipelines.
• Experience with

  SQL and NoSQL

  databases.
• Solid understanding of software engineering practices, including

  UML, design patterns

  , and code versioning.
• Experience with SmartCOMM-Guidewire integration is a plus.
  

Education:

• Bachelors degree in

  Computer Science, Engineering, Technology

  , or a related field.
