Smart Comm (Thunderhead) Developer

Role Overview: As a Smart Communications(Thunderhead) Developer in the IT Advisory Services team, you will have the opportunity to work on various Package implementation/Prototype development projects for customers globally. Your career in advisory will be dynamic and interesting, allowing you to work across industries and geographies to ensure organizations stay relevant now and in the future. Key Responsibilities: - Work as a team leader (technical leader) contributing to various technical streams of Smart Communications(Thunderhead) implementation projects. - Interface and communicate with onsite coordinators for project coordination. - Plan and monitor project deliverables from the team. - Mentor the project team in executing identified projects. - Provide regular status reports to the Manager and onsite coordinators. - Interface with customer representatives as necessary. - Travel to customers" locations when required. - Work on Smart Communications end-to-end integrations including Appliance setup, custom Template selector development, Output processor setup, and custom fonts setup. - Design and develop resource files effectively such as Layout, Stylesheet, Template, Data Modeler, Shared Contents, and Script library. - Develop and set up multiple channel outputs like PDF, Email, Postscript, and PCL. - Monitor and analyze Smart Communications job failures. - Participate in code review processes and manage project revision history. - Lead and mentor junior resources for Smart Communications technical skills. Qualifications Required: - BE/B.Tech/MCA & MBA with 6 to 8 years of industry experience. - Experience in Smart Communications(Thunderhead) tool for document generation and customization with other products. - Proficiency in Core Java, JavaScript, XML. - Strong knowledge and experience with Tomcat and/or WebSphere/WebLogic. Additional Details: - Working on Smart Communications implementations and prior integration with Guidewire suite products is advantageous. - Smart Communications certification is a plus. - Experience as a Technical Lead managing a team of 5 to 10 people. - Proficient in Effort Estimation, Performance consideration, Task Management, Client interfacing, and people management. - Good understanding of Agile methodology. - Real-time knowledge and experience in enterprise system integration, preferably in the Insurance domain. - Excellent business communication skills and prior client-facing experience.
