As a Steelwork Drawing Specialist, your main responsibility will be to provide steelwork drawings based on the conceptual design provided by the designer. This includes creating detailed shop floor and BOM drawings for mounts, head frames, lattice towers, and monopole extensions. Additionally, you will be tasked with providing strengthening solutions and preparation of strengthening drawings for lattice towers and monopoles. Your role will also involve detailing connections for various structures such as roof top poles and lattice towers, as well as clarifying any queries raised by fabricators. It is essential for you to have telecom knowledge, particularly in antennas, RRUs, TMAs, BTS, EME issues, and 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. In a fast-paced multi-location, multi-client environment, you will need to demonstrate your project experience by reading and interpreting architectural and structural building plans. You will be required to create sets of shop drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel items, showing the required dimensions, welds, holes, and locations. Proficiency in using and understanding AutoCAD is crucial for this role, including basic concepts, drawing setup, and creation. You should also be able to provide strengthening drawings, perform slope calculations for towers, and analyze site conditions based on as-builts and reference photos. One of your key responsibilities will be to review and check drawing accuracy, as well as approved shop and fabrication drawings. You should be capable of predicting challenges during construction, upgrading existing steelwork designs, and providing suitable design upgrades. Your role will also involve providing detailing drawings for fabrication and installation with zero errors and ensuring there are no fitment issues at the site. Basic knowledge of structural designing of mounts and head frames, as well as implementing welding symbols based on design drawing references, will be essential. You should understand the interpretation of applicable specifications, codes, and standards into shop drawings, and calculate various basic geometric elements involved in construction. Additionally, you should be able to plan and calculate lengths and dimensions of steel elements according to construction tolerances and standards. Having knowledge of basic and complex construction techniques, fabrication processes, and the ability to troubleshoot problems during installation will be crucial for this role. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to work in a collaborative environment will be key to your success as a Steelwork Drawing Specialist.,
