Site Supervisor

The site supervisor is a key role responsible for overseeing construction projects and managing the construction team. You will be in charge of ordering building supplies, scheduling equipment maintenance, and training new construction employees. Additionally, you should be prepared to provide first aid in case of emergencies. As a successful site supervisor, you must be detail-oriented, well-versed in building codes and construction safety regulations, and capable of interpreting building plans. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. Responsibilities: - Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify and eliminate safety hazards. - Supervise and provide guidance to the construction team and subcontractors. - Educate site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocols. - Enforce site safety rules to prevent work-related accidents. - Manage site accidents following established procedures. - Maintain accurate records of construction employee attendance. - Evaluate employee performance and implement disciplinary actions when necessary. - Review blueprints to ensure compliance with design, safety, and budget requirements. - Recommend operational changes to enhance construction efficiency. Requirements: - Completion of a post-secondary construction training program. - Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, civil engineering, or related field (preferred). - Previous experience as a site supervisor. - CPR and first aid certifications. - Proficient understanding of building codes and construction safety regulations. - Familiarity with construction tools and equipment. - Ability to interpret blueprints. - Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
