Site Reliability Developer

Role Overview: As a Senior Production Engineer in Oracle's OHAI Production Engineering Team, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing healthcare through technology. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative culture that drives forward-thinking approaches to healthcare technology. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the transition of the existing hosting environment to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as part of a comprehensive roadmap developed to meet the needs of OHAI customers. This role is based in India and involves strategic initiatives such as migrating hosting environments, VMWare migration, and security efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and implement automation to prevent problem recurrence. - Design, write, and deploy software to enhance the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services. - Develop designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems. - Collaborate with the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on full stack ownership of services and/or technology areas. - Take responsibility for the design and delivery of the mission-critical stack, focusing on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. - Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues and utilize a deep understanding of service topology and dependencies to troubleshoot problems. - Partner with development teams to implement improvements in service architecture and add premier capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio. Qualifications Required: - Solid understanding of automation and orchestration principles. - Professional curiosity and a desire to develop a deep understanding of services and technologies. - Experience in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning. - Strong knowledge of end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and behavioral characteristics of production services. - Ability to articulate technical characteristics of services and guide development teams in implementing improvements. - Excellent communication skills to explain the impact of product architecture decisions on distributed systems.
