Shift In-charge- Production (Machine Shop)

Qualification & Experience

• Preferred Qualification:

  Diploma / BE in Mechanical / Production Engineering

• Experience:

  4 to 6 years in machine shop production, preferably in CNC-based manufacturing setups

• Age Group:

  24 to 32 years

• Gender:

  Male / Female

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise shift-wise machine shop operations, ensuring production targets are achieved.
  
• Monitor CNC machine performance and coordinate with maintenance for any breakdowns.
  
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality norms.
  
• Coordinate with PPC, QA, and maintenance teams for smooth production flow.
  
• Optimize cycle times and reduce machine downtime through effective planning and resource allocation.
  
• Maintain production documentation, rejection reports, and downtime analysis in SAP.
  
• Train operators and ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards on the shop floor.
  
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, and other lean manufacturing practices.
  

Technical / Functional Skills

• Hands-on experience in

  CNC turning/machining centers

  (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.)
• Good understanding of

  tooling, fixtures, cycle time optimization, and machine settings

• Knowledge of

  cutting parameters, feeds, and speeds for different materials

• Exposure to

  TPM, OEE, SMED

  , and other productivity improvement tools
• Ability to read

  engineering drawings and machining symbols

• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in a high-pressure production environment
  

Computer / System Skills

• Working knowledge of

  SAP (Production Module)

• Basic skills in

  Microsoft Excel

  for daily production reporting and analysis
• Familiarity with digital tools for monitoring machine utilization and downtime is a plus
