Job Summary Perform a critical role within a team of Senior Engineers to administer and monitor Telecom Call Data Record generation, assimilation and reporting systems. Support the monitoring platform and provide expertise to improve, maintain and develop solutions to support the process. Perform research and development activities to support future optimization and automation. Role will be focused primarily on monitoring / trouble-shooting / enhancing the CDR collection, assimilation and loading process. A successful candidate is expected to assist with development and maintenance of the existing system and contribute to its future design and engineering. Job Description Administer and monitor Telecom Call Data Record generation on a daily basis. Ensure that the CDRs generated on various switches get enriched. Ensure that enriched CDRs need to be assimilated at a central server. Troubleshoot if any of the above fail. Ensure that assimilated CDRs get loaded in the DB. Troubleshoot and fix issues as and when they arise. Provide occasional off-hours support for the above. Required Skills Strong in HP-UX administration. Thorough knowledge of bash commands, especially on HP-UX and its variants. Experience with scripting, especially bash/Korn scripting. Detailed knowledge of S/W development, including (but not limited to) looping, decision making and source control technologies. Documentation (maintenance/enhancement) skills. Experience working with databases and writing SQL queries Desired Skills 3+ years of HP-UX/Linux/Unix administration. Understanding of S/W development best practices. Experience working with data center operations teams. Experience managing or supporting monitoring and/or automation for a large enterprise network with business-critical applications.
