Responsibilities and Accountabilities: - Evaluate and document the 4Cs (cut, colour, clarity, and carat weight) of diamonds. - Assess the quality and characteristics of diamonds accurately. - Operate various grading instruments with precision. - Contribute to determining, reviewing, and enhancing the laboratory's quality and work processes. - Estimate the quality and market value of diamonds. - Stay updated with the latest gemological information and industry trends. - Provide preliminary conclusions for gemstone grading reports. - Input gemstone identification information into the information system. - Examine gem surfaces and internal structures using microscopes and optical instruments to identify rare specimens, flaws, defects, or peculiarities affecting gem values.
