Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Java Software Engineer located in Gurugram. The Senior Java Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications, designing microservices, and programming in Java. Day-to-day tasks include working with the Spring Framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in code reviews and debugging. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of applications, contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes. Key Responsibilities Operate within a collaborative development team focused on Reconciliation applications. Coach junior developers and contribute to their technical growth. Engage in global project teams to implement cross-functional solutions. Liaise with business analysts to gather and clarify technical requirements. Actively participate in production support and incident analysis. Create and maintain technical specifications and development documentation. Follow and promote best development practices (code coverage, design patterns, test strategies, etc.). Propose innovative solutions and improvements to the platform and processes. Ensure timely, effective communication with all team members across geographies. Goals & Deliverables Clearly documented technical requirements. Timely and high-quality code releases to production. Contribution to continuous technical and process improvements. Requirements & Expertise- Minimum 8 years of Java development experience. Strong expertise in performance optimization and system tuning . Proficiency in multithreading and concurrent programming. Solid hands-on experience in SQL and database query optimization. Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments (e.g., KSH, shell scripting, batch processes). Strong understanding of Agile methodologies at a project level. Experience working on global projects across multiple time zones. Proficient in English ; French is a plus. Full lifecycle software development experience. Previous work in Asset Management or Financial Services domains is highly desirable.
