Ensures that horizontal discovery is highly available, reliable, and performant. Creates and maintains custom patterns, probes, and sensors to accommodate internal discovery requirements. Establishes and maintains discovery schedules. Monitors discovery results, reconciling and addressing any anomalies. Proactively plans capacity of ServiceNow MID servers and maintains and configures appropriately. Participates in platform upgrade planning, testing, and validation. Manage and optimize CMDB discovery processes to ensure comprehensive and accurate discovery of IT assets. Ensure that discovered CIs are accurately recorded and maintained in the CMDB. Collaborate with IT operations and infrastructure teams to validate and refine discovery processes. Maintain detailed documentation of discovery patterns, processes, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and training. Troubleshoot & resolve discovery errors related to access/permissions. Validate and test Discovery functionality post-upgrades. Add/update schedules, IP ranges, and credentials for new devices & environments. Troubleshoot Discovery Patterns: Identify and resolve issues related to discovery patterns, including analyzing logs, debugging scripts, and collaborating with other teams to ensure successful data collection. Open ServiceNow High Tickets: Manage high-priority incidents related to discovery failures by opening and tracking ServiceNow high tickets, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders AWS Cloud Resource Discovery: Implement and manage AWS cloud resource discovery processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory of cloud resources. Ensure that discovered cloud resources are accurately recorded in the CMDB. Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to validate and refine cloud resource discovery processes. Develop and maintain documentation for AWS cloud resource discovery processes and procedures.
