Service Information Developer - Turbomachinery

Role Overview: You will be a crucial part of the Product Support team at Caterpillar Inc., contributing to the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of Gas Turbine Engine Systems. Your work will involve understanding components, technical information development, and contributing to the product data support strategy. As part of a global team, you will play a key role in building a better world through innovation and progress. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate a good understanding of Gas Turbine Engine Systems, Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul requirements. - Familiarity with components" working principles, assembly/disassembly, installation/removal procedures. - Proficiency in technical information development using Arbor text Editor with STE rules & guidelines. - Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) and ability to interpret Engineering Drawings/Schematics & Layouts. - Competent knowledge of components fit form and function at both piece part and assembly levels. - Good understanding of Gas turbine service and repair techniques. - Contribute to developing the product data support strategy. - Maintain and enhance relationships with internal customers to achieve business targets. - Develop and implement improvements in tools, methods, and processes. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautical Engineering from a reputed Institution. - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Turbomachinery (Gas Turbines/Turbo Compressors), preferably in Oil & Gas/Energy/Aviation industry. - Ability to interpret large volumes of complex technical data. - Customer focus with experience in a customer-facing environment, delivering technical solutions and improvements. - Excellent written, verbal communications, and presentation skills. - Proficiency in the English language. - Experience in coordinating/interacting with Global Stakeholders/customers. - Advantageous to have knowledge about gas turbines, industrial equipment, project management, and overhaul/manufacturing techniques.
