Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Engineer to join our team, specializing in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines. As a Service Engineer, your main responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machinery at client sites. This role calls for strong technical expertise, a comprehensive understanding of CNC systems, and the capability to work autonomously while delivering top-notch customer service. In the Installation & Commissioning aspect of the role, you will be tasked with setting up and commissioning CNC machines at customer locations. Your duties will involve ensuring proper installation, calibration, and integration with other systems, as well as conducting machine testing to validate optimal performance in line with manufacturer specifications. When it comes to Troubleshooting & Repairs, you will be responsible for diagnosing and addressing mechanical, electrical, and software issues in CNC machines. This will entail carrying out repairs and replacing faulty components to swiftly restore machine functionality. As part of the Preventive Maintenance tasks, you will be expected to create and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and prolong the lifespan of CNC machines. Regular inspection and servicing of machines will also be necessary to identify potential issues before they cause operational disruptions. In terms of Technical Support, you will provide customers with the assistance they need by addressing their queries and resolving issues related to machine performance. Additionally, you will aid clients with machine programming, software updates, and control system adjustments. Training & Documentation will involve educating customer personnel on operating, maintaining, and adhering to safety practices concerning CNC machines. You will also be responsible for preparing detailed service reports that document all completed work, replaced parts, and future service recommendations. Building strong customer relationships is crucial in this role. You will collaborate closely with the sales team to offer feedback on customer requirements and potential opportunities for additional services or machine upgrades. Requirements for this position include a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. Moreover, you should have proven experience as a Service Engineer or Technician in the CNC machinery or manufacturing industry, along with a solid understanding of CNC machine systems and mechanical components. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and machine drawings, as well as demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues. Hands-on experience with machine tools, electrical systems, PLCs, and automation components, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will be essential. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and test equipment is also desired. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, and a willingness to travel is preferred.
