How to become an SEO Strategist on the scandiweb eCommerce Expert Team?

3+ years of hands-on SEO experience with proven success in strategy and execution;
- Advanced knowledge of SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Semrush, Inlinks, Majestic, etc.);
- Experience in leading SEO projects for eCommerce or large-scale websites;
Strong understanding of technical SEO, site architecture, and Google’s ranking signals;
- Ability to translate data into strategy using GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, and spreadsheets (PivotTables, advanced formulas, integrations);
- Confidence in stakeholder communication and presenting SEO strategies clearly;
- Curiosity and drive to experiment, learn, and evolve with industry changes, especially in AI-driven search;
- Confident written and spoken English – scandiweb operates internationally with clients and colleagues, therefore English is our core language.
The following skills will be considered as a bonus but not required:

Some experience with Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), optimizing content for AI engines and digital assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.).

Develop and lead SEO strategies for eCommerce and enterprise-level clients;
- Perform in-depth semantic and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities;
- Guide technical SEO initiatives, collaborating closely with developers to ensure flawless execution;
- Define and oversee content strategies: briefing, auditing, and ensuring alignment with SEO goals;
- Design and monitor backlink acquisition strategies in partnership with outreach teams;
- Advise stakeholders with clear, actionable insights and reports;
- Drive innovation by staying ahead of industry updates and integrating new SEO methodologies, including AEO best practices;
- Oversee and integrate AEO tactics to improve visibility in AI-driven search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other LLMs, ensuring that content is optimized for digital assistants and conversational search.
