Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution (On-Page/Content)

  • Product & Category Optimization: Develop and implement effective on-page SEO strategies for thousands of product detail pages (PDPs) and category landing pages to increase organic traffic, conversion rates, and revenue.
  • Keyword Research: Conduct advanced keyword research specifically focused on
  • purchase intent and long-tail queries relevant to e-commerce products and customer journeys.
  • Content Strategy: Guide the creation of high-quality, authoritative content (e.g., buying guides, product reviews, comparison articles) that supports category pages and builds domain authority.
  • Internal Linking: Design and execute a robust internal linking structure to improve page authority flow and guide users and crawlers through the site hierarchy.
  • Technical SEO & Site Health

  • Auditing & Implementation: Conduct regular, in-depth technical SEO audits focused on e-commerce specific challenges (e.g., duplicate content, pagination, filtered navigation, site speed).
  • Core Web Vitals: Work closely with development and tech teams to ensure all Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS) are optimized for performance across all devices.
  • Schema Markup: Manage and optimize structured data markup (Product, Offer, Review Schema) to maximize rich snippet performance in search engine results.
  • Site Architecture: Monitor crawl budget, manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and implement proper canonicalization strategies for dynamic content.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • KPI Management: Define, track, and report on key SEO performance indicators (KPIs) including organic traffic, keyword rankings, visibility index, organic revenue, and conversion rates.
  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog) to diagnose issues and identify new opportunities.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor SEO strategies and identify gaps in our product and content offerings.

Qualifications

  • Experience: [X] years of dedicated SEO experience, with at least [Y] years directly focused on e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Custom platforms, etc.).
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how they impact SEO rendering and crawling.
  • Analytical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Google Analytics and GSC, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, and Content teams.
  • E-commerce Specific Knowledge: Deep understanding of the e-commerce purchase funnel and conversion optimization.

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience with international SEO and localization strategies.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing platforms and SEO experimentation.
  • Experience with PIM (Product Information Management) systems
