Senior/Staff Engineer, ESSD Firmware

Your responsibilities in this role would include having 6-15 years of experience in Embedded Firmware Storage/SSD, with a strong proficiency in firmware design and debug using assembly and C programming. You should also have knowledge of SSD flash translation layer, wear leveling, and garbage collection, along with familiarity with mass storage interfaces like SATA, SAS, and NVMe (optional but advantageous). A high level of expertise in problem recreation, identifying performance critical algorithms for optimization, ARM development tools, and IDE such as Eclipse is essential. You should be able to scope and estimate development efforts, work effectively in a team environment, and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Working knowledge of digital hardware design and experience with test equipment like oscilloscopes and logic/bus analyzers would be beneficial. For this position, a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent is required. Preferred skills include excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal abilities, ambition, goal-orientation, and effective collaboration within a dynamic team environment.
