Senior/Lead Research Engineer - Hardware Architecture

As an Embedded Hardware Developer at Bert Labs, you will play a crucial role in leading and executing the development effort of Bert products" Embedded Hardware. Your responsibilities will include: - Taking ownership of the product development lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring end-to-end product development responsibility. - Staying updated on the latest advancements in Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, Sensors, and Board peripherals to integrate state-of-the-art technology into the development cycle. - Embracing an entrepreneurial leadership role that encourages daily innovation and challenges you to push beyond your current capabilities. Qualifications required for this role include: - Possession of an engineering degree from prestigious institutes like IITs, BITS, NITs, Jadavpur University, DTU, or other top engineering institutes in the USA, Europe, UK, or NUS. - Demonstrated relevant work experience in EEE/CS/Embedded Systems or related fields with 5-10 years of industrial experience in Product/Platform/Deep Tech/AI/IoT/Semiconductor/Embedded Systems/IT Services companies. - Proficiency in Hardware Design and Architecture of mixed signal boards. - Experience with CAD design tools like Altium/Orcad. - Ability to conduct Proof of Concept, research components, and select components for new designs. - Expertise in PCB layout of multilayer boards (4 layers and above) and design documentation such as DFM and DFA. - Familiarity with Hardware Certifications, EMI, EMC, industrial standards, and protocols. - Hands-on experience with ARM-based controllers/processors and Radio Frequency design. - Competence in hardware debugging, circuit analysis, and board rework. - Experience in coordinating with fabrication and assembly houses for manufacturing. - Proficiency in managing projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering to system maintenance. - Strong data structure & algorithm skills and problem-solving abilities. - Good understanding of an Object-Oriented Programming language. - Proven track record of understanding complex user needs and delivering practical solutions for production. - Excellent communication and leadership skills.
