Senior WordPress Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Lead the development of complex WordPress-based solutions from concept to deployment.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver scalable and robust websites.
• Optimize website performance for speed, SEO, and responsiveness.
• Ensure code quality through regular code reviews, testing, and adherence to WordPress coding standards.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and custom functionalities as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and compatibility problems.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in WordPress development.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Expertise in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Deep understanding of WordPress core, hooks, filters, and REST API.
• Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), WooCommerce, and page builders like Elementor or WPBakery.
• Proficient with Git version control and deployment workflows.
• Strong understanding of SEO, website optimization, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with headless WordPress and JAMstack architecture.
• Familiarity with React.js or Vue.js for frontend enhancements.
• Experience with WordPress Multisite and multilingual setups.
• Knowledge of Docker, Composer, and modern PHP frameworks.
• Contributions to WordPress.org or open-source projects.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
