You will be responsible for leading projects, developing custom themes and plugins, optimizing website performance, and ensuring seamless integration with various APIs and third-party tools. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins. Lead the development of complex WordPress-based solutions from concept to deployment. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver scalable and robust websites. Optimize website performance for speed, SEO, and responsiveness. Ensure code quality through regular code reviews, testing, and adherence to WordPress coding standards. Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and custom functionalities as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and compatibility problems. Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in WordPress development. Required Skills: 6+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress development. Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Expertise in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch. Deep understanding of WordPress core, hooks, filters, and REST API. Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), WooCommerce, and page builders like Elementor or WPBakery. Proficient with Git version control and deployment workflows. Strong understanding of SEO, website optimization, and security best practices. Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility and responsive design. Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Nice to Have: Experience with headless WordPress and JAMstack architecture. Familiarity with React.js or Vue.js for frontend enhancements. Experience with WordPress Multisite and multilingual setups. Knowledge of Docker, Composer, and modern PHP frameworks. Contributions to WordPress.org or open-source projects. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
