Senior - WAM BA Fund Accounting (Alternative Assets & Private Equity) Business Analyst

As a WAM BA Fund Accounting (Alternative Assets & Private Equity) Business Analyst at EY, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and evaluating alternative investment opportunities, including private equity, hedge funds, and real estate. With your analytical mindset and expertise in user story, requirement gathering & documentation, SDLC, and SQL, you will collaborate closely with both business and technology teams to manage change effectively. Your key responsibilities will include gathering and documenting requirements, preparing comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, conducting due diligence for potential investments, and monitoring the performance of existing investments to provide insights for optimization. Additionally, you will engage with external partners and industry experts to gather insights and market intelligence, while staying informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments affecting alternative investments. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree (MBA) or relevant qualification. You should also have 4-9 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in alternative investments or private equity, with strong analytical and quantitative skills, proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, and excellent communication and presentation abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, BPMN standard, and financial analysis software is required, with familiarity with data visualization tools being a plus. Strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and proven project management skills are essential for this role.
