Job Description:

Unify Media is hiring a Video Editor to work exclusively on our original YouTube series and content-driven video projects. You will be responsible for shaping long-form content like episodes, behind-the-scenes segments, and short video series that go live on our in-house YouTube channels. You’ll bring structure, drama, and storytelling finesse to every episode while ensuring each cut is engaging and platform-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit full-length YouTube episodes and series-based content with a clear narrative flow.
• Create highlight reels, teasers, shorts, and promotional clips from long-form series.
• Handle multi-cam footage, sync sound, cut B-roll, and refine story arcs for digital storytelling.
• Work closely with the creative team to align editing style with the show’s tone and concept.
• Manage shot selection, pacing, music overlays, subtitles, and transitions for storytelling clarity.
• Organize raw footage, maintain a clear project workflow, and meet strict episode deadlines.
• Bring creative ideas to the table on how to improve episode quality and viewer engagement.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience editing YouTube or content-based series (episodic or storytelling formats preferred).
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• Strong command over audio syncing, scene pacing, storytelling cuts, and basic motion graphics.
• Familiarity with YouTube formats, audience preferences, and platform algorithms.
• Ability to handle long-form footage and extract short-form content from it.
• Passion for editing content that’s fun, engaging, binge-worthy, and creatively satisfying.
• Strong sense of visual storytelling and attention to timing, mood, and transitions.

Bonus If You Have:

• Prior experience editing talk shows, web series, BTS, or reality-style digital content
• Thumbnail design and YouTube SEO knowledge
• Comfort working closely with on-screen talent and production teams
