Senior Vice President - Credit and Risk

You will be responsible for overseeing the company's credit policies, procedures, and processes for the Micro LAP business, with a focus on developing underwriting frameworks to effectively address risks. This includes developing and reviewing Early Warning System (EWS) reports, conducting periodic portfolio reviews in line with industry trends and regulatory guidelines, and making necessary policy adjustments. You will need to stay informed about the external economic environment, regulatory policies, and competitive landscape to ensure strong business growth. Your role will also involve ensuring system automation to enhance team efficiency, utilizing data analytics to identify credit risk trends and optimize management strategies, and establishing efficient workflows and processes for case evaluations to maintain robust underwriting practices. The ideal candidate for this position is a highly driven individual with the ability to be hands-on when necessary. You should possess excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including executives and C-level personnel. Additionally, you must have the capability to motivate and develop a strong team, demonstrate a problem-solving approach, and exhibit strong business acumen. To qualify for this role, you should have 7-15 years of experience in the credit/risk department within the Micro LAP domain. A CA/CFA qualification along with relevant underwriting experience is required. You should have a solid understanding of setting up processes and workflows, extensive knowledge of real estate across India at a deep geographical level, and a proven track record of effectively managing and leading teams.
