Role & responsibilities

Senior Test Engineer

• Design, develop, and execute

  automated and manual test cases

  for application libraries.
• Collaborate with developers to understand library functionality and ensure test coverage.
• Develop test frameworks and scripts using automation tools and languages (e.g., Python, C#, or equivalent).
• Perform

  functional, regression, integration, and system testing

  .
• Simulate real-world industrial scenarios to validate library behaviour.
• Analyse test results, identify defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Review and validate unit test cases and contribute to continuous integration pipelines.
• Maintain test documentation, traceability matrices, and test reports.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in

  industrial automation testing

  , preferably with commissioning exposure.
• Strong understanding of

  IEC61499

  and IEC61131

  programming standards.
• Experience in developing SCADA screen, symbol and faceplate.
• Exposure to

  domain-specific applications

  in Food & Beverage, Water/Wastewater, O&G, Packaging, etc.
• Experience with

  industrial protocols

  such as Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus Serial, Profibus.
• Hands-on experience in

  test automation

  and scripting (Python, C#, or similar).
• Knowledge of

  DevOps practices

  and Agile methodologies.
• Good to have: experience in data analysis or data science for test optimization.
• Familiarity with

  version control systems

  like Git and platforms like Azure DevOps.
