Senior Technical BA - AVP

The IT Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business users and technologists by facilitating the exchange of information in a clear, concise, and understandable manner in collaboration with the Technology team. The primary goal of this position is to actively contribute to the continuous investigation of business performance metrics and insights to support strategic business planning initiatives. With 11-16 years of relevant experience, the ideal candidate should possess a strong working knowledge of SQL and a deep understanding of trade lifecycle, trading systems, product design, data analytics, and data design. Additionally, familiarity with project methodologies such as Agile, Six Sigma, or Software Development Life Cycle, as well as holding a Project Management (PMP) Certification, is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must-have for this role, along with strong interpersonal abilities, exceptional data analysis skills, and effective management and prioritization capabilities. The candidate should be adept at collaborating with global teams, leading multiple activities, building relationships, and proposing solutions to business and development challenges. Key responsibilities of the IT Business Analyst include acting as a Subject Matter Expert and primary point of contact for stakeholder engagement, assessing risks in decision-making processes, negotiating project priorities, defining mitigation strategies for risks, and managing project timelines and milestones efficiently. The role also involves producing essential project artifacts like Business Requirement documents, overseeing project delivery, collaborating with various teams, tracking progress, and reporting on project statuses. Furthermore, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining a Book of Work, facilitating discussions on prioritization with key stakeholders, fostering strong relationships with business partners, and providing regular project updates to both business and technology stakeholders. A strong background in defining business strategies, project management, database/system integration design, and development lifecycle is crucial for success in this role. The IT Business Analyst position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with proven self-motivation to take on new tasks promptly and efficiently. The individual should demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, show proactive decision-making skills, and adapt flexibly to changing circumstances.
