Job Description

As a Software Engineer in the DRIVE IX team at NVIDIA you will be part of a highly collaborative group of experts with a real passion for innovation and a strong desire to redefine the way millions of users interact with autonomous driving cars. We are currently seeking an experienced software engineer with Video Compression, streaming and image processing fundamentals, and robust C++ skills to develop features in autonomous driving - a comprehensive suite of APIs, libraries, and integration with NVIDIA`s DRIVE Platform.

What you'll be doing:

Work alongside brilliant engineers on core technologies, and implement and optimize software to solve complex Imaging computer vision problems using NVIDIA GPUs in real time.
Have an unique opportunity to realize most complex pixel compute algorithms running in a constrained environment such as a car/robot embedded system based on NVIDIAs Tegra SOC. As we'll as building Digital twin applications in NVIDIA`s Omniverse environment.
Own the whole pipeline of building software and hardware solutions to remote teleoperation for autonomous driving cars and robots from camera calibration, video data capturing, streaming, message protocol transmission, to object detection etc , composition and rendering in VR or 3D geometry.
Collaborating with a lot of deep neural networks that helps us build awareness around the Car, working on enhancing visualization of sensor information by using various image processing algorithms like surround view stitching, object detection overlays on video streams, and added visual cues for enhanced scene understanding.
We will see features go through the whole cycle - from proof-of-concept to production.

What we need to see:

B. Tech. or M. Tech. in CS/CE/EE, or equivalent experience.
12+ years of experience in a related field.
Excellent C/C++ programming skills strong problem solving and debugging skills.
Embedded system, SW/HW cross proven experience.
Strong understanding of video streaming, compressions, and network latency issues.
Solid understanding of image processing and computer vision fundamentals related to camera calibration, video encoding, photogrammetry, depth estimation, object detection, tracking, and SLAM techniques.
Real passion for uncovering root causing bottlenecks and optimizing performance.
Dedicated, fast to act and learn, and self-motivated with excellent analytical skills.
Excitement to deploy your strong interpersonal skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Experience with video compression and real time video streaming.
Practice with image processing and computer vision algorithms.
Hands-on with CUDA, OpenGL and OpenCV.
Experience with GPU technology, imaging, camera and multimedia.
