Key Responsibilities:
• Data Collection and Management: Gathering data related to Scope 3 emissions from various sources, including suppliers, transportation providers, and waste management companies.• Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analysing collected data to identify trends, hotspots, and opportunities for emissions reduction.• Sustainability Reporting: Contributing to the development of sustainability reports, ensuring accuracy and transparency in Scope 3 emissions reporting.• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather data, share insights, and implement sustainability initiatives.• Identifying Reduction Opportunities: Working with different teams to identify opportunities to reduce emissions across the value chain, such as optimizing logistics or sourcing more sustainable materials.• Staying Updated: Keeping abreast of the latest trends, regulations, and best practices in Scope 3 emissions management.Skills and Qualifications:• Strong analytical and data management skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques is crucial.• Knowledge of Scope 3 emissions categories: Understanding the different categories within Scope 3 (e.g., purchased goods and services, transportation, waste).• Familiarity with relevant frameworks and regulations: Experience with frameworks like the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is beneficial.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Ability to communicate complex information clearly and work effectively with diverse teams.• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills: Ability to identify and address challenges related to Scope 3 emissions data collection and analysis.• Familiarity with sustainability reporting: Understanding the principles and practices of sustainability reporting is important.• Regulatory Compliance: Aligning with evolving global regulations and frameworks.• Support the development and ongoing implementation of updated scope 3 target setting methods, target setting tools, and target validation criteria Develop guidance documents and support materials to improve companies' baselining and tracking of scope 3 emissions• Assist in managing an inclusive and balanced stakeholder process to ensure deliverables are aligned with climate science and strike the right balance of credibility and practicality, including supporting the setup and working with the Scope 3 Expert Advisory Group• Support engagement and coordination with key partners to drive ecosystem collaboration• Manage responses to inquiries related to scope 3Desirable criteria:The essential requirements of the job include:• Bachelor's degree; preferably in environmental science, data science, sustainability, supply chain, or a related field.• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in data management and reporting and/or data analytics.• High level of proficiency in data analysis and data management tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel ,Power BI, any data platform) with attention to detail and a dedication to data accuracy.• Strong project management and time management skills to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced global setting.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:• Familiarity with SBTi and various voluntary and required reporting frameworks, such as corporate Scope 3 reporting, CDP, EPEAT, and RE100.• A background and understanding of greenhouse gas emissions accounting and voluntary environmental reporting protocols is a plus (e.g. the GHG Protocol, Scope 3 Protocol)• Sustainability IT technology and testing experience.• Ability to conduct independent in-depth research into sustainability-related topics and report findings to technical and non-technical audiences• to work independently with minimal supervision in a virtual, multicultural environment
