The company is hiring a Support Analyst to join the Global Investment Systems, a vital part of WPP IT, at the Chennai office of GEC (Global Engineering Centre) supporting various regions globally. This role involves ensuring the Investment data warehouse solutions, bespoke applications, reporting, and visualization dashboards meet the agreed service level with the business by providing day-to-day operational and application support. As a Support Analyst, your responsibilities will include leading and mentoring junior support engineers, troubleshooting technical issues raised by local markets and regional users, prioritizing and providing immediate workarounds to critical issues, analyzing root causes of problems, managing and tracking reported issues, performing data profiling and analysis, monitoring server activities, collaborating with the DevOps team for new releases and changes, communicating updates to local markets, supporting user acceptance testing, maintaining application usage dashboard, creating end-user training materials, and conducting training sessions. To be successful in this role, you must possess the ability to coordinate with different parties to resolve complex support issues, have excellent communication skills, hands-on experience in Microsoft technology solutions, proficiency in writing SQL queries, knowledge of troubleshooting tools and methods, experience with enterprise BI tools like Power BI, ability to work under deadlines, self-motivation, problem-solving skills, customer-centric mindset, and willingness to work in shifts supporting different time zones worldwide. Desirable qualifications for this role include experience in cloud maintenance (Azure, GCP), familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling, background in media or advertising industry, Agile methodology practice, expertise in Microsoft technologies like Stored Procedures, SSIS, SSAS, .NET C#, Azure Data Technology stack, basic networking knowledge, and Azure Active Directory understanding. Minimum qualifications require a tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a relevant discipline, along with 5 to 7 years of full-time professional experience in applications support.
