Senior Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced

  structural calculations

  , analysis, and design using STAAD Pro and other relevant tools.
• Develop and review

  engineering deliverables

  , including design reports, specifications, technical studies, and construction drawings.
• Design

  foundations and structural systems

  for power generation facilities, including simple and combined cycle plants up to 800 MW.
• Prepare and review

  load calculations, structural layouts, steel and concrete detailing

  , and connection designs.
• Review and interpret

  project specifications, applicable codes

  , and client requirements to ensure compliance and constructability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
  
• Participate in

  project planning, scheduling, and cost control

  efforts as related to structural scope.
• Support construction and field teams with

  technical guidance, design clarifications

  , and review of contractor submittals.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's (B.E.) or Master's (M.E.) degree in

  Civil Engineering

  or a related discipline.

• 15+ years of professional experience

  in structural engineering, with a focus on power plants and/or heavy industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in

  STAAD Pro

  ; familiarity with

  ANSYS

  and other structural analysis tools is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated experience working on

  North American projects

  and proficiency with relevant codes and standards including:

• AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC, ABS, ASME, AWS, API

• Solid understanding of

  construction methods

  , materials, and best practices in foundation and structural design.
• Strong verbal and written

  communication skills

  , capable of preparing technical reports and presentations.
• Ability to manage

  multiple priorities

  , work independently, and mentor junior engineers.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with

  retrofit and upgrade projects

  in existing power plants.
• Exposure to

  design-build

  and

  EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction)

  project environments.
• Prior involvement in

  international or multi-disciplinary teams
