Senior Software Test Engineer (Functional)

As a Senior Software Test Engineer (Functional) at KiwiQA Services in Ahmedabad, your role involves understanding client requirements, functional and design specifications. You will be responsible for preparing test plans and test estimation documents, reviewing them with project stakeholders, and participating in walkthroughs of testing procedures. Your key responsibilities include: - Carrying out testing as per the defined test strategy - Demonstrating sound knowledge of reporting and tracking quality defects - Ensuring all testing-related work is carried out as per defined standards and procedures - Collaborating with peer team members and reviewing test deliverables - Being agile in testing approach and ready to take up new challenges - Developing performance scripts and respective configurations - Working closely with Development and Project Management teams - Being ready to adjust work shift as per project requirements - Participating in special projects/assignments and performing additional duties as assigned Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field - Good understanding of SDLC, STLC concepts, and agile methodology - Strong knowledge of test management, defect management, and project management tools - Ability to work with a team of test engineers, product managers, business analysts, and software developers - Hands-on project experience with API testing, Database testing, Performance testing, and Security testing - Good verbal and written communication skills Additionally, secondary skills required include good organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as hands-on project work exposure to web and/or mobile application automation.
