Senior Software Engineering

Role Overview: Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) team is responsible for powering Microsoft's Intelligent Cloud mission by delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for over 200 online businesses globally. As a Senior Software Engineer in the DPU Operational Excellence team, you will be involved in designing, building, testing, and deploying tools and agents for operational readiness of control and data plane software running on DPUs custom-built silicon for Azure compute and networking use-cases. Your role will include building a deep understanding of the DPU architecture, customer workflows, and troubleshooting field issues to support innovative products on a global scale. Responsibilities: - Contribute to design, write code in C/Python, and implement software components to enable and optimize the Azure fleet. - Automate extensively and develop Apps using C/Python/Other languages to support cutting-edge customized hardware in servers. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver system software and cloud services for monitoring, deploying, and maintaining next-gen hardware in the Azure fleet at massive scale. Qualification Required: - Extensive experience in automating tasks using C/Python. - Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, review design docs, and contribute to design discussions. - Proficient in system-level debugging and troubleshooting hardware/firmware-related issues. - Strong adaptability to changing project requirements and effective task prioritization. - Stay updated with industry trends in Hardware and firmware technologies and provide recommendations for improvement. - Develop and maintain automation scripts with focus on scalability, modularity, and maintainability.,
