Senior Software Engineering Manager

Toast is looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to take responsibility for building new, innovative FinTech capabilities
As well as providing a cutting edge point of sale system for restaurants, Toast also processes billions of dollars of payments, and offers best-in-class financial service solutions to our customers As we build new solutions to meet the needs of our customers, we are also focused on optimising for extensibility, resilience and scalability, using continuous delivery tools & methodology This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead a new team in delivering impactful strategic Fintech solutions, As a Senior Engineering Manager on our team, you will: Drive overall technical architecture, design, build and launch features/improvements on our platform, Deliver high-impact complex projects that may span multiple teams and amplify impact by aligning organizations toward coherent architectural strategies Drive delivery of business outcomes across multiple teams, including planning and execution Collaborate closely with Product Management and UX to get actionable, valuable work defined for the team Ensure end-to-end delivery of software, including team ownership of monitoring and production issue remediation Coach individuals in professional and technical development to set up for their success Hire and mentor Team Leads and Senior Technical Staff members to ensure their success at Toast The Toast platform processes tens of millions of requests per day, and this number grows constantly as we add new restaurants and integration partners to our system The services we develop on this team are essential for Toasts operation and their resilience and reliability are crucial from a business and user perspective, If you want to help create something tangible that is used every day, help small businesses achieve their vision, and take on the challenge of scaling a SaaS product from millions of users to hundreds of millions of users, Toast is the place for you, Work Mode: This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office,
