Job Description

Role Overview: You will be a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test at Mastercard's Commercial Solutions organization, playing a crucial role in the digital transformation journey. Your responsibilities will involve leading the design and test automation strategy for your SCRUM team, validating application functionality and performance based on refined acceptance criteria. Key Responsibilities: - Play a pivotal role in the continuous validation of web applications, system-to-system interfaces, and complete software solutions - Design and develop test automation scenarios for system-to-system interfaces and complete software solutions (API and UI tests) - Collaborate with business and development stakeholders to define test plans and schedules - Translate complex system requirements into test requirements and testing methods - Implement complex automation efforts, including refactoring automation code when necessary - Work closely with software engineers to ensure quality, proper test coverage, configuration quality, and early performance testing - Generate test data, recognize test environment preparation needs, execute test plans, and report results - Participate in project-level reviews, walkthroughs, inspections, and conduct test reviews - Document performance test strategies and plans, execute performance validation, and communicate test status/risks to stakeholders - Identify code defects or regressions and adhere to quality standards - Assist team members in validating application functionality through test strategies, frameworks, tools, reports, etc. - Assist in planning and documenting test strategies and acceptance criteria based on customer needs - Design, code, and construct automation tests, escalate issues during testing, and provide automation tests for operations teams - Perform Exploratory testing as required and raise process improvement opportunities - Act as the first review for project-level reviews, walkthroughs, inspections, and provide technical support and mentoring to junior team members - Perform demos of new product functionality to stakeholders Qualifications Required: - Experienced in advanced code development, code review, construction, and use of automation frameworks - Proficient in building automation frameworks, acceptance and integration test automation scripts - Skilled in developing high-quality test strategies and text execution, analyzing application logs, and utilizing basic debugging techniques - Familiar with Agile testing methodologies, unit and integration testing, data virtualization tools, and Continuous Testing - Basic understanding of validation techniques and UI automation frameworks, tools, and techniques - Capable of mentoring peers and guiding less experienced team members Additional Company Details: In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy, you will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience, and other qualifications for the role.
