Senior Software Engineer - Test Automation

As a passionate Software Engineer at Veeva Systems in Hyderabad, you will work in the Automation Engineering team to deliver seamless releases for Vault customers using modern technologies and best practices. Veeva's Vault is a cloud-based platform that automates tasks and processes, providing a single source of truth with visibility and compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Possess deep knowledge of Veeva products like Vault and its applications - Contribute to reducing test automation backlog in Serenity and Cypress - Define metrics for measuring code quality in the test automation suite - Review team members" code and suggest optimizations - Mentor junior team members to resolve technical issues - Create and review automation test plans with functional QA - Develop, enhance, debug, and run test cases - Manage defect tracking process, handle changes, and conduct regression tests - Find solutions for object identity and error handling issues - Coordinate with automation and development teams to resolve issues - Generate software defect tracking reports and update project release status - Analyze Jenkins failures, identify root causes, and update stakeholders - Understand different Jenkins job types and monitor module results **Qualifications Required:** - 7+ years of experience in Software Testing, Test Automation, and/or Software Development - Proficiency in Cucumber or Selenium framework, CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, JIRA) - Experience in API/Service layer testing (POSTMAN) - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies - Strong team collaboration and communication skills - Ability to solve complex test automation tasks - Experience with Java, Cypress, and JavaScript programming - Knowledge of Linux/AWS **Nice to Have:** - Full-time experience in Software Automation and/or DevOps - Proficiency in CI tools like Jenkins and Git version control systems - Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field In addition to the exciting role and responsibilities, Veeva Systems offers perks and benefits including health insurance, RSUs, stock options, wellness & fitness allowances, and a winter break.
