Senior Software Engineer

Position Description:

Act as a focal point interact with business, gather requirements, BRD / SRD convey the requirement to the development team and ensure clarity. Ensure release deadlines are achieved. Plan on the important aspects of the release, changes & coordinate with the development team, business side. Liaising with testing team. Ensure deployment process been followed.

What you will do for Sectona as a Senior Software Engineer - Primary Responsibilities

• Leads the software development team during the design/build phases of the SDLC.
• Manage in the entire lifecycle of the product - design, documentation, coding, and release.
• Build high quality mock-ups and design different prototypes.
• Using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON to create user-friendly user interface (UI) with Cross-browser compatibility
• Use .NET/related technologies, OOPs concepts etc. to build modular & loosely coupled applications.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of software engineering best practices such as: versioning and versioning control, software packaging and software release management.
• Work effectively in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams such as backend developers and other support functions.
• Drive the design and development of one or more components or applications in our product by establishing robust low-level design, good code practices and unit testing.
• Build products with a view to maximizing ease of operations of those products and facilitate rapid development and deployment of new features and changes.
• Optimize our application for maximum speed.
• Integrate third party products, understand the underlying platform of those products.
• Generate release notes to accompany each major release.

Skills, Education, and Experience you require

• B.Tech/ B.Sc (CS)/ BCA/ MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc (CS)
• 5-10 years of software development experience in C#, ASP.NET, HTML5, Bootstrap, JavaScript and Database (Microsoft SQL & MySQL)
• Can exhibit a passion and enthusiasm for remarkable technology.
• You are passionate about good design, performance, and scalability.
• Utilize solutions-oriented, systematic approach to developing & designing software.

Must have skills (Hands on):

• Windows and IIS
• Experience in SDLC cycle
• C#.NET, ASP.NET
• SOAP API
• Database (Microsoft SQL OR MySQL),
• Test-driven development
• JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, DOM, HTML5, Bootstrap
• Visual Studio 2015/2017/2019 with Visual Studio Team Foundation Service

Nice to have skills (Knowledge):

• Software Change & Release process
• .NET Core
• ASP.NET MVC
• CI, CD
• Restful API
• GIT, SVN, Agile, JIRA, Confluence
• Entity Framework
• Microsoft Azure (DevOps, AD and etc) OR AWS (exposure to services such as EC2 and S3)
