Senior Software Engineer- Java

Job Description

Position Purpose The Java Developer will be responsible to: - Design and development of GUI and its corresponding business treatment - Testing and bug-fixing Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities Develop, test and provide support during implementation Bug fixing Contributing Responsibilities Technical & Behavioral Competencies Good understanding of software development life cycle and Agile/iterative methodology. Technical competency in the following: - Good understanding of Oops and RDBMS concepts - Knowledge in: - Core Java (jdk 1.8) / J2EE (EJB, JDBC ) - Java Swing (nice to have), - XML, Quartz (scheduler), JUnit - Hibernate (nice to have) - Core Java & J2EE Design Patterns - Knowledge of atleast one application server (Tomcat, WebLogic preferred) - Knowledge in Oracle 10g ( SQL , performance tuning) - Knowledge of tools such as Eclipse (IDE) , StarTeam (Configuration Management) and Quality Center - Knowledge of Build tools such as Ant/ Maven (desirable) Others Inclination to understand and learn application/business functionality Good communicator, fast learner & a Team player High motivation and confidence levels Specific Qualifications (if required) Bachelors Degree in Engineering 2+ years professional experience Skills Referential Behavioural Skills : (Please select up to 4 skills) Ability to collaborate / Teamwork Attention to detail / rigor Communication skills - oral & written Creativity & Innovation / Problem solving Transversal Skills: (Please select up to 5 skills) Ability to understand, explain and support change Ability to develop and adapt a process Analytical Ability Ability to inspire others & generate people's commitment Ability to develop and leverage networks Education Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalent Experience Level At least 2 years
