Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Core PHP and Perl Developer with a strong background in developing and maintaining eCommerce platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience working in Linux environments, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, and possess a passion for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Exposure to JavaScript is an added advantage. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain applications using Core PHP and Perl. Support and enhance existing eCommerce applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to deliver high-quality solutions. Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues in a Linux-based production environment. Write clean, reusable, and scalable code following best practices. Perform code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers when needed. Maintain documentation of processes and codebase. Must-Have Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Core PHP development. Proficient in Perl scripting and its use in web or backend systems. Experience working on eCommerce platforms or modules (shopping cart, order management, product catalogs, payment gateways, etc.). Comfortable working in a Linux/Unix environment, including shell scripting and basic server troubleshooting. Knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Good to Have: Exposure to JavaScript (Vanilla JS, jQuery, or frameworks). Experience with REST APIs and JSON/XML data handling. Familiarity with background processing, and basic system monitoring. Understanding of secure coding practices and performance tuning.
