Senior Software Engineer (Data Platform)

As a responsible individual contributor at Demandbase, your primary duty will involve leading the development effort and building scalable distributed systems. You will have the opportunity to design and develop scalable data processing solutions, work on developing scalable data architecture, and own a specific problem space to drive its product roadmap. With ample opportunities to learn and explore, a highly motivated engineer can push the boundaries of technologies in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, following engineering best practices to solve data matching and data search-related problems. We are looking for a candidate who is a strong analytical and problem-solving individual, self-motivated, eager to learn new technologies, open to constructive feedback, confident and articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and willing to work in a small development team. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent discipline from a reputable engineering institution, possess a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithms, programming, and problem-solving skills. Having 8 - 11 years of Software Engineering experience in product companies would be a plus, along with proficiency in conducting code reviews. Additionally, familiarity with modern programming languages, high-level design, low-level design, and any cloud platform is essential. Desirable skills include experience in Big Data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, and Airflow, as well as proficiency in writing unit test cases and integration tests.
