About the role: Responsibilities 1. Design and develop high quality software that is easy to maintain, reuse and understand. 2. Apply proven software engineering design principles to the software you develop. 3. Revisit the design decisions time to time and do necessary refactoring to keep the software up to date and meet the requirements mentioned in point 1 above. 4. 5. Prioritize and work on the tasks in the Sprint backlog in a self-organized way. Understand the business requirements and apply the knowledge to design, suggest and develop functionalities that are beneficial to the business. 6. Identify recurring tasks that can be automated and use programming knowledge to develop tools to automate such tasks. 7. Write documentation to share business and technical knowledge with the rest of the team. Skills: 1. Around 5+ years of experience as a software engineer. 2. Full working knowledge in PHP and experience in at least one modern PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, Slim PHP etc..). 3. Experience in RDBMS, Cloud providers (AWS/Azure), Search engines (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch), In-memory caching (Redis/Memcached), Queue (Redis/SQS/Beanstalkd), Real-time communications (Websocket/Web RTC). 4. Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns. 5. 6. Familiarity of GNU/Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, Debian etc.) Experience working on applications that have scalable architecture and handle copious amounts of data. 7. Experience working in an Agile team. 8. Excellent communication skills.
