Senior Software Development Test Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing of our SaaS platform.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand features and requirements and provide testing solutions.
• Quality Assurance: Implement testing strategies to ensure that the software meets product requirements, performance standards, and is bug-free.
• Test Framework: Design and improve testing frameworks and tools to optimize testing processes and ensure high-quality releases.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the testing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and reliability of releases.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, track, and prioritize bugs/issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Manual Testing: In certain cases, perform manual testing to support test coverage for complex scenarios or new features.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test execution results.

Experience Required:

• 4 - 7 years of hands-on experience in automated software testing within SaaS-based platforms.
• Strong experience in scripting languages like Java and Python for automation development.
• Experience in building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.
• Proficient in working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment.
• Practical knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP in testing distributed applications.
• Exposure to both frontend and backend testing, including APIs and microservices.
• Ability to analyze test results, detect patterns in failures, and perform root cause analysis.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and participating in sprint planning and reviews.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools and practices to assess application scalability and responsiveness.
• Experience in identifying testing gaps and providing improvements in test coverage and automation strategy
