Senior Software Development Engineer Test

As a Software Development Engineer in Test III, you will be an integral part of a distributed QA team, contributing to project deliveries within specified timelines by utilizing optimized and efficient testing methodologies. Your role will require a passion for collaborating in a high-performing team environment, employing both manual and automation testing approaches. You will design test cases, develop test plans, and construct automation frameworks and tools for QA teams, while also driving process improvements and technological enhancements across the QA organization. Responsibilities: - Take ownership of QA requirements, define testing scope, and communicate effectively with Technical Project Managers. - Analyze the complexity of applications to devise comprehensive test plans. - Offer testing guidance to the Technology Team Lead, coordinating testing activities for application enhancements and tech ops with technology and business teams. - Develop automation test cases based on requirements. - Define and implement test strategies, suggesting process improvements for QA. - Act as an Individual Contributor, participating in team communication, planning activities, and sharing project updates with stakeholders. Key Skills and Competencies: - Proficient in Manual Testing of Enterprise Class and Financial applications, Middleware, and Backend systems. - Expertise in API testing using tools like Postman/SOAP UI. - Hands-on experience in API Automation with Rest Assured framework using Java. - Familiarity with UI testing across multiple platforms and devices. - Skilled in developing and maintaining automation test cases. - Ability to write and understand SQL queries and procedures. - Experience with Unix platform commands and server log analysis. - Capable of debugging application issues through backend system server logs. - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of tasks. - Knowledge of AWS/Cloud technologies would be advantageous. - Self-driven with a focus on applying practical QA concepts and standards to address routine issues. - Proficient in writing use cases, executing tests, and reporting issues in bug tracking systems. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications: - Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent 4-year degree. - 8-10 years of overall experience in Quality Assurance and Testing, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in Automation.,
