About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer III to lead the design, development, and delivery of our flagship product. The role demands strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to build scalable, high-performance systems. You will play a critical part in mentoring engineers, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring that product features are implemented with the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Own the design, architecture, and development of mission-critical product features.
- Lead and mentor a team of 46 engineers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager and Technical Architect to propose scalable and cost-optimized
solutions.
- Ensure system functionality, scalability, security, and performance across all deliverables.
- Actively participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem-solving.
- Build proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and transition them into production-ready systems.
- Define, document, and enforce coding standards and best practices across the team.
- Optimize performance and address architectural challenges in distributed systems.
- Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks for services.
- Drive adoption of modern development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps culture.
Required Skillsets :
- 58 years of experience in a product-based company delivering large-scale applications.
- Strong expertise in databases, multithreading, caching strategies, and distributed architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (CDK, Lambda, ECS, etc.).
- Proven experience with message queue systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Celery).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex performance issues.
- Experience designing and implementing monitoring and alerting frameworks.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (Python preferred) and exposure to multiple languages.
